SmartLawns Ltd
CASE STUDY
We are proud that SmartLawns Ltd was awarded ‘New Business of the year’ at Enterprise for Success awards 2024
“My initial interest was in the funding to help me invest in expensive demonstration equipment but the real value comes from the mentoring, advise and support.”
Gary Whitney - MD Smartlawns Ltd
What we do
Smart Lawns Limited provides specialized robotic grass maintenance equipment in the Midlands, serving golf clubs, sports grounds, universities, schools, estates, and large gardens. Their advanced technology ensures efficient, precise, and cost-effective lawn care for large-scale areas.
Innovation
Our story began with a vision to revolutionise the maintenance of large grass areas, traditionally managed with fossil-fueled heavy equipment, leading to carbon emissions, soil compaction, and noise pollution. By introducing battery-powered, lightweight robotic solutions, we significantly reduce these environmental impacts. The Enterprise for Success program has been instrumental in this journey. Peter's guidance helped structure our business plan and expertly navigate the grant application process. His genuine interest in our success, combined with timely advice, turned our focus from just funding demonstration equipment to embracing the invaluable mentorship and support.

GAMMBAZ

“The programme is spectacular, the support it gives to entrepreneurs is truly a huge help and knowing that their support is there is very comforting.”
Alia Osman - Founder Gammbaz
What we do
At Gammbaz, we create 100% soy wax candles that are eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and safe for use as a moisturizing lotion once melted. Our unique 2-in-1 lotion candles come in a wide variety of scents and offer a non-toxic, nourishing glow. Beyond the product, we believe in giving back, donating part of our profits to a burn charity in Egypt and employing burn victims who often face discrimination in the workforce. Our mission is simple: to create beautiful, multi-purpose candles while supporting a meaningful cause.
Our Story
Gammbaz was founded in 2021 when Alia Osman, at the age of 13, saw a gap in the Egyptian candle market. Noticing that most candles used carcinogenic paraffin wax, she dove into research and discovered the benefits of eco-friendly soy wax. Alia began producing candles in over 80 scents, with a portion of profits going to a burn charity in Egypt. Now based in the UK, she continues to grow her brand with support from the local community and advisory guidance, combining her passion for candles with a mission to help others.
